Silent Wall Clock Without Ticking 40 x 40 cm Handmade, Radiating Design, Battery Mechanism, Retro Wall Mount | Sansoti

A clock you won't hear at night

An ordinary wall clock ticks sixty times a minute, and in a quiet bedroom, that's exactly the sound you'll start noticing as soon as you can't sleep. This clock has a quiet battery mechanism and is silent: the second hand sweeps smoothly instead of jumping once per second, so there's no ticking. It's a handmade clock measuring 40 × 40 cm, with a square retro-style sunburst design, made to hang on the wall. Batteries are not included.

Why it works in a bedroom

• Silent mechanism: no ticking, so you can hang the clock in a bedroom, study or nursery without it disturbing the quiet.
• Battery mechanism: no cord to an outlet and no need to choose a wall spot based on one.
• Dimensions: 40 × 40 cm: large enough to read the time from bed, yet small enough not to take up the whole wall.
• Handmade: each sunburst design is individually made, so the clock doesn't look like a mass-produced item on your wall.
• Retro sunburst design: a square frame with radiating lines, a shape that works in both modern and classic interiors.
• Wall-mounted: hangs from a single point, so you only need one hole.
• Two versions: variant A or variant B.

Where to hang it

In a bedroom, the wall opposite the bed is the obvious spot: you can read the time without turning around, and the clock won't be in your peripheral vision while you're lying down to read. Hang it at about eye level when standing, so you can also read it as you walk through the room. At 40 × 40 cm, the clock takes up about a fifth of a door's height, so it fits on a narrow wall between two doors or above a chest of drawers. Buy the batteries separately; a silent mechanism uses no more power than a ticking one, so one battery typically lasts a year.
