Magnetic Reading Glasses +3,50 with Snap Closure and Neck Cord, Strengths +1,00 to +3,50, Red or Gray, Lightweight | Sansoti

Up to +3.50, often just the strength you need

Most ready-made reading glasses go up to +2.50 or +3.00, and that’s where the range ends. These go up to +3.50 and are available across the full range from +1.00 to +3.50. The glasses have a magnetic click closure on the bridge: the frame separates into two parts, and the glasses hang around your neck by the neck cord, all in one motion and with one hand. The magnetic connection is built into the plastic frame, not a separate clip. The whole design is lightweight. Available in red or gray.

Specifications at a glance

• Strengths from +1.00 to +3.50: a wider range than usual, including the higher strengths that are often unavailable.
• Magnetic click closure on the bridge: the frame splits into two halves and clicks back together with one hand.
• Magnet in the frame: the connection is part of the frame, not an attached clip that could break off.
• Flexible textile neck cord: the glasses hang around your neck as soon as you unclip them, so you don’t have to put them down somewhere.
• Lightweight plastic: comfortable for extended wear and for frequently putting them on and taking them off.
• Two colors: red or gray.
• Care with a soft lens cloth: don’t use paper or abrasive cloths.

Strength and use

A high strength such as +3.50 gives you a short, sharp reading distance: you hold your book or work closer to your eyes than you would with +1.50. That’s exactly what you want for fine work, but less comfortable if you mostly use a screen at arm’s length - in that case, choose a lower strength. If you’re torn between two values, choose the lower one for extended use and the higher one for short, detailed tasks. Keep the magnetic closure clean and dry; don’t try to pry it apart with your fingernail, as it comes apart with a gentle motion. For advice on the right strength, and if you notice a change in your vision, consult an optician or optometrist; these are prescription reading glasses, not a substitute for an eye exam.
