Back Support Pillow for Reading in Bed Ergonomic Wedge Shape Breathable Fabric Side Pocket Anthracite Yellow Brown Light Gray Purple | Sansoti

Backrest pillow for reading upright in bed

Sitting upright in bed with two pillows behind your back works for about ten minutes: then they slide away, you slump down, and you’re back to hunching over your book. A wedge-shaped backrest pillow does what regular pillows can’t—it holds its shape. The sloping side follows the line of your spine and raises your upper body at a fixed angle, keeping your neck relaxed and your shoulders from rolling forward. The pillow has a side pocket for your phone or reading glasses, and the fabric is breathable, so you can lean against it all evening without getting hot.

Why it works better than stacked pillows

• Holds its shape: The wedge doesn’t sink like regular pillows, so you maintain the same angle all evening.
• Support for your back and neck: The sloping line supports your lower back and keeps your neck in a neutral position.
• Side pocket within reach: For your phone, reading glasses, or a notebook, without having to turn around.
• Breathable fabric: Doesn’t trap heat, even when you lean against it for a long time.
• Easy to move: From bed to sofa to armchair, with no fuss.
• Five colors: Charcoal, yellow, brown, light gray, and purple.

The right position in bed

Place the pillow with the high side against the headboard and the sloping side facing you, so your back follows the incline from your lower back upward. A separate pillow in the hollow of your lower back completes the setup if you want extra lumbar support. If you prefer to sit a little straighter, move the wedge slightly away from the headboard to make the angle steeper. As well as reading, the same setup works for using a laptop on your lap, watching TV, or having breakfast in bed. During the day, the pillow moves easily to the sofa or an armchair.
