Shatterproof mirror film for the nursery

A glass mirror at a child’s height is a risk you’d rather not take: one ball, one toppled chair, and you’re cleaning up shards in a room where little feet go bare. This mirror film for the nursery is made from flexible PET that gives way instead of shattering—you can literally roll up the sheet without anything happening. The edges are smooth and rounded, so there are no sharp edges. Apply the sheet to a smooth wall or cabinet door using its self-adhesive backing; at 60 x 200 cm, it stretches from just above the baseboard to well above a child’s height.

Why it’s safer than glass

• Shatterproof PET: The material flexes without splintering, even if it’s knocked or a chair falls against it.
• No sharp edges: Smooth, rounded finish with no cutting edges, even after trimming to size.
• Lightweight: No heavy glass panel that could come off the wall; the sheet stays in place with its adhesive backing.
• Can be trimmed to size: Adjust the sheet to fit a cabinet door, play area, or narrow wall.
• Five sizes: 50x50, 50x100, 50x200, 60x100, and 60x200 cm.
• Clear reflection: A high-gloss coating that spreads light around the room and makes a small room look more spacious.

Apply to the right surface

The self-adhesive backing sticks to smooth, flat surfaces: painted drywall, cabinet panels, furniture doors, and tiles. On rough plaster, textured wallpaper, or an uneven wall, the reflection will look bumpy, so choose a smooth panel or cabinet door instead of the wall itself. First clean the surface to remove dust and grease, gradually peel off the backing, then smooth the sheet from top to bottom with a soft cloth to push out any air bubbles. In a child’s room, the inside of a cabinet or door is often the best place: flat, sturdy, and at the height where a child wants to see themselves. The same material also works in the bathroom, a narrow hallway, or a home workout area.
